Experience

Staff Software Engineer

KBRA

Feb 2024 - Present

  • Lead cross-team initiatives across KFI platform architecture, shared UI foundations, and internal delivery systems, establishing architectural standards that reduced delivery friction for multiple product teams.
  • Manage the engineering side of the enterprise design system, codifying repeated UI decisions into a 4-layered token model and component library used by 10+ teams and ~30 projects.
  • Engineered an internal AI workflow CLI to transition shared agent customizations from informal sharing into a versioned distribution model, establishing a governed contribution path adopted across the organization.
  • Architected reusable screening infrastructure that was leveraged to accelerate the delivery of the M&A screener, successfully turning product-specific work into a durable platform capability.
  • Drive the long-term technical strategy for the KFI platform, supporting mission-critical benchmarking and risk analysis for 10,000+ U.S. banks and credit unions.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to senior engineers, driving high-impact architectural reviews and standardizing technical interview processes for senior-level hires.

Senior Software Engineer

KBRA

Aug 2018 - Feb 2024

  • Championed the transition to trunk-based development and feature flags, decoupling deployments from releases and reducing release time from ~8 hours to ~5 minutes.
  • Migrated large portions of legacy application infrastructure from Angular and PHP GraphQL to Next.js and Apollo, while moving to Docker and Terraform for delivery.
  • Re-architected Elasticsearch into a highly available 5+ node cluster, implementing a robust nightly ETL pipeline to ingest and process 40M+ records off-hours.
  • Developed and maintained KBRA's React-based design system and component library, shipping 220+ releases over 3 years to streamline organization-wide UI delivery.

Lead Frontend Engineer

Klezma

May 2022 - May 2023

  • Served as the sole frontend engineer through MVP launch, owning the end-to-end Next.js architecture and establishing the foundational UI system for a web3 creator platform.
  • Partnered closely with product to drive roadmap planning and translated product requirements into a scalable MVP.
  • Supported backend operations by developing and maintaining NestJS services and assisting with ERC-1155 smart-contract development in Solidity.
  • Led the technical execution that resulted in winning NFTHack 2022, validating the core product hypothesis.

Earlier breadth

  • Software Developer / Lead Data Scientist, Assero Services
  • Software Developer, Visneta
  • Software Engineer, Blu Mediterranean Grill
  • Software Engineer, Underground Vape

Selected impact

  • Reduced KBRA release times from ~8 hours of coordinated effort to ~5-minute trunk-based deployments by migrating legacy infrastructure to Docker and Terraform.
  • Architected a 4-layered token system that translated UI decisions into delivery infrastructure, supporting 10+ teams and roughly 30 projects.
  • Built and distributed an internal AI tooling CLI (Node.js) that standardized agent customizations and prompts, establishing a governed contribution model across KBRA Technology.
  • Re-architected Elasticsearch into a scalable 5+ node cluster and built nightly ETL pipelines capable of loading 40M+ financial records off-hours.
