Resume

Recent experience, current scope, and focus areas

Staff Software Engineer focused on platform architecture, delivery workflows, and the shared infrastructure product teams rely on. Helped cut KBRA release time from roughly 8 hours of coordination to about 5 minutes by changing how software moved from branch to production.

Experience

Staff Software Engineer

KBRA

Feb 2024 - Present

  • Led cross-team platform and delivery work across KFI, helping move large parts of the application stack to Docker and Terraform and reducing release friction for multiple product teams.
  • Architected reusable screening infrastructure that turned one-off product work into a shared capability later used to speed up the M&A screener.
  • Engineered an internal AI workflow CLI that turned shared agent customizations into a governed distribution model with versioned install and update paths across the organization.
  • Drive long-term technical strategy for the KFI platform and its supporting systems, serving mission-critical benchmarking and risk analysis for 10,000+ U.S. banks and credit unions.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to senior engineers, shaping architectural reviews and senior-level hiring standards across the organization.

Senior Software Engineer

KBRA

Aug 2018 - Feb 2024

  • Helped move large parts of the application stack to Docker and Terraform while modernizing the product from Angular and PHP GraphQL toward Next.js and Apollo.
  • Re-architected Elasticsearch into a highly available 5+ node cluster and built nightly ETL infrastructure that has grown to process 70M+ records plus supplementary indexes.
  • Championed trunk-based development and feature flags, decoupling deployments from releases and cutting release time from ~8 hours to ~5 minutes.

Lead Frontend Engineer

Klezma

May 2022 - May 2023

  • Served as the sole frontend engineer through MVP launch, building the application foundation and delivery-ready frontend architecture for a technically complex product.
  • Supported backend platform work by developing NestJS services and assisting with roles, permissions, and smart-contract-adjacent infrastructure.

Earlier breadth

  • Software Developer / Lead Data Scientist, Assero Services
  • Software Developer, Visneta
  • Software Engineer, Blu Mediterranean Grill
  • Software Engineer, Underground Vape

Selected impact

  • Reduced KBRA release times from ~8 hours of coordinated effort to ~5-minute trunk-based deployments by modernizing delivery systems around Docker, Terraform, and trunk-based workflows.
  • Built and evolved Elasticsearch and nightly ETL infrastructure that now processes 70M+ financial records plus supplementary indexes every 24 hours.
  • Built a token-based shared foundation that standardized repeated UI decisions across 10+ teams and ~30 projects without forcing a single library migration.
  • Built and shipped an internal CLI that turned shared AI workflow assets into a governed distribution model with explicit install and update paths across KBRA Technology.
